Things I'm loving Friday [2.7.14]

Hey friends!

I have been in a bit of a negative mood, for reasons I may go into later (or that you may have noticed on Twitter). So I think it's a great time to focus on the positive, yes? Some of my favorite blogs post either things they're loving or things they're thankful for at the end of the week (here and here for examples!), so I thought that might be a good bad-mood buster this morning.

GOLDEN BY JESSI KIRBY
You guys. I started this book on Wednesday... and finished it Wednesday. It's only 277 pages, so it's a really quick read, but totally fun to get into and has some really beautiful language. I think I'll be re-reading at a slower pace.

MY OLD DISNEY VHS TAPES
I don't have cable in my bedroom. Pat took his nice TV with him to Denver, but I have an old one that can play tapes and DVDs. So, with my two snow days this week, I busted out my old VHS of Beauty and the Beast and Hercules. I still have a couple more, too.

NUTELLA
Nom.

LAVERNE COX
I got to see this beautiful lady (who you might recognize from Orange is the New Black) speak on campus last night and she was wonderful. So funny and well spoken and crazy smart. So glad I got to hear her speak! Have any of you watched Orange is the New Black?

BLOGGER AND RUNNER FRIENDS
I would be even more on the struggle bus today if Kate and Tamara didn't talk me down. Thanks, guys.

What are you loving this week?

I love Orange Is The New Black so much! Can't wait for the next season! And of course I love Disney movies!
Have a great weekend!

I haven't watched Orange Is The New Black but I keep hearing about it, so maybe one day, when it's no longer airing and I'm 10 years too late I'll get into it. (That's how I roll when it comes to series)

We used to have a VHS/DVD combo player but it broke a couple years ago - and seriously, VHS does not exist anywhere, so I have like 20 movies that just hang out in my movie cabinet collecting dust but I refuse to get rid of. But I totally have Beauty & the Beast on DVD "for Lillie" so I watch that on the regular. :)

Also, you're awesome no matter what bus you are on. Short, long, struggle, whatever. :)

Sorry you've been feeling grouchy. That's no fun. You're still great, though. Ditto Tamara ;)

So jealous you got to see Laverne Cox! I would have loved to have been there! I reallly liked OITNB, but didn't LOVE it. But I've just heard and read so many great things about her.

Also, Golden is definitely on my to-read list. I can't wait!

I completely ditto Tam. You're awesome no matter the bus. ;)
